ALV POS is a fully customizable software-based platform, which enables the communication between a computer and mobile phone(s).
It is intended to be installed in any MS Windows-based computer of telecom-related retail chain stores, in order to provide Value Added Services to the clientele of the latter and to outline Unique Selling Points against competition.
The operation can either be in online mode -connected to a central server-, or in offline mode -not connected to any server-.
ALV POS CONTENT TRANSFER is the first module of ALV POS and transfers the digital content of a mobile phone (called source mobile phone) to another phone (called target mobile phone) via USB cable and BlueTooth.
The interface is based on a wizard-like environment, which is consisted of nine (9) steps, in order to minimize the error-factor to the lowest possible extend.
Among others, special attention has been given to the EU Privacy Policy Act, so that the data to be transferred cannot be duplicated for any anauthorized use.

A series of automation mechanisms have been put together, enabling even computer illeterate people to be able to operate ALV POS:

  • phone-specific connection instructions
  • automatic USB drivers installation
  • system notification messages for any identified problem (i.e. the plugged phone is out of adequate battery, not set to the correct settings, etc.)
  • automatic generation and printout of a License Agreement
  • automatic conversion of the transferred data as per the technical specifications of the target mobile phone
  • automatic generation and printout of a Final Receipt
  • automatic installation of updates (only applicable in online mode)

BUY BACK is a web-based application, which calculates the current market price of a used mobile phone, enabling telecom retail chain stores to buy used mobile phones from individuals.
The communication between the stores and the BUY BACK SERVER is established over the internet or any intranet.
It can be installed in either the SMARTEC data center or in the data center of each corporate client.
The development of BUY BACK SERVER is based on open-architecture logic, allowing it to be integrated to any third-party application (i.e. billing system, C.R.M., etc.).
The access to BUY BACK is password protected and there are the following user levels: administrator, technical project manager, commercial project manager, pos manager and grading center manager.

  • real-time monitoring of any transaction
  • statistics reporting, using both templates and free search fields
  • pricing policy and updates
  • shipping vouchers generation and printout
  • users management
  • messages exchange between the project manager, the pos managers and the grading center manager

ALV SERVER is a web-based application, to which all ALV POS in online mode are connected.
The communication between ALV POS and ALV SERVER is established over the internet or any intranet.
It can be installed in either the ALLUVION data center or in the data center of each corporate client.
The development of ALV SERVER is based on open-architecture logic, allowing it to be integrated to any third-party application (i.e. billing system, C.R.M., etc.).
The access to ALV SERVER is password protected and there are the following user levels: administrator, technical project manager, commercial project manager and pos manager.

ALV SERVER provides the following features:

  • real-time monitoring of any transaction
  • statistics reporting, using both templates and free search fields
  • updates management (the updates are automatically downloaded to ALV POS in silent mode)
  • users management
  • extraction of logs, which are sent from ALV POS
  • messages exchange between the project manager and the pos managers
